New Commission / PIXEL
I am excited to announce I have been commissioned to photograph the newly completed Pixel project in Abu Dhabi. The project, designed by MVRDV for IMKAN, will be the Dutch studios first project in the UAE and will be one of several projects which make up the Makers District on Reem Island. In the architects own words “Pixel, an 85,000-square-metre mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi, features 525 apartments, shops, offices, and amenities situated around a lively communal plaza. The design enables a lifestyle based around outdoor living and community spirit – an innovative approach in the Emirates.” I cannot wait to get on site to capture this unique design! In the meantime, below are a few photographs I recently snapped on my phone when cycling past the site.
