These photographs were taken during a walk around the downtown area of Abu Dhabi in the city block contained between Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street, Ahmed Bin Hamed Al Hamed Street, Al Mina Street and Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street - E13.

As with my previous explorations I found this area full of interesting buildings which combined to form a unique and varied streetscape. The variation of architectural styles is clear from the photographs. Nods to vernacular architecture alongside the use of modern materials such as glass and concrete create an interesting urban composition.
